1953 – 2nd Australian Convention of Magicians – September 26, 1953

The second Australian Magic Convention was held the following year in Sydney. Len Mason was the organiser. This was a one day convention starting at 1:30 pm. There was no official sponsor of the convention, though Len Mason was President of I.B.M Sydney Ring 102 and the official opening was made by the International President of the I.B.M, Forrest P. Hendricks.

Notable Events: Opening show featuring alternating Sydney/Melbourne artists. Stage Competition (3 minute acts), Dealers’ Demonstration, Close-Up Competition, evening banquet and show.

VENUE: Wentworth Hotel, Sydney
